Denmark: Melodi Grand Prix 2017 acts to be revealed on January 19

Danish broadcaster, DR, have been very quiet about this year’s DMGP over the past couple of months, but we finally have some news. The 10 acts competing in DMGP 2017 will be revealed during a press conference which will be held in DR Koncerthuset on Thursday, 19th of January.

Not much is known about any of the participants as Danish media hasn’t published any rumours about this year’s acts yet. It is also unknown when we will be able to listen to the 10 competing songs. Last year the songs were accidentally leaked by the record label through music platforms in the middle of January, but it seems they are being more cautious this time.

Melodi Grand Prix 2017 will be held on the 25th of Febuary in Herning’s Jyske Bank Boxen, where Emmelie de Forest won with Only Teardrops back in 2013, and it will be hosted by DMGP veteran Anette Heick and former Lighthouse X member Johannes Nymark.

Last year Denmark were represented by Lighthouse X with the song “Soldiers of Love”, which sadly didn’t manage to reach the grand final in Stockholm:
