The Danish broadcaster, DR, has opened submissions for next year’s Eurovision national selection.
Apart from Danish citizens, foreign song writers, composers and artists can enter the contest for a chance to represent Denmark in Eurovision 2019. However, they must have strong relations to the country. The deadline for submissions is on 26th September.
“We are looking for high quality songs. When we go to Eurovision, there are about 40 songs in total, so if we have a chance to do well, we have to come up with something of high quality and something that stands out so that viewers can remember us”, says DR’s head of entertainment Jan Lagermand Lundme.
“We sent a single-track song, where the song, performance and artist went up to a higher level. Everything just played. As Danes, we can be very proud over what we sent this year and our ambition is to succeed in 2019″, he continues.
