Who is going to be the successor of last year’s Cypriot contestant Elena Tsagkrinou? We will find out today as Cyprus will reveal who is going to represent them in Turin, Italy.

During the presentation all will be revealed: The artist, the song, and the writing team behind the entry.
The reveal of the Cypriot artist will take place on the Cypriot National Broadcaster RIK at 15:30 CET.
Rumors
The Eurovision rumor mill is working overtime, and Eurovision media outlets stated that singer Andromachi will be representing Cyprus during this year’s contest. According to these same sources the entry was recorded last week in Athens, and somewhere later that week the video was recoded. Apparently the song is a mix of pop music and traditional ethnic sounds, such as Greek bouzouki. The rumors also say that the song was composed by legendary Eurovision composers Alex P and George Papadopoulos.
We do not know for sure whether the Cypriot entry will be sung by Andromachi, but the rumors that are spread do have a lot of detail to them, so who knows…
Last year’s contest
During the contest of 2021 in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Elena Tsagkrinou came in 16th during the Grand Final that counted 26 acts, with the song “El Diablo”.
Eurovision Song Contest 2022
The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will take place on the 10th (Semi-final 1), 12th (Semi-final 2), and 14th (Grand Final) of May 2022 in Turin, Italy. Cyprus will compete in the first half of the second Semi-final on May 12th 2022.
