Croatia 2024: These are the contestants of the Croatian national final!

The entrants of the Croatian national final, “Dora 2024”, were disclosed recently, and among them are two previous Eurovision acts, namely Let 3, who competed in the contest last year (13th of 26 in the Grand Final), and Damir Kedžo (cancelled contest of 2020). Next to this, there are new artists to discover. This national final will be held on February 2024 in the Croatian city of Opatija.

The winner of Dora 2024 will get the chance to represent Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden) in May 2024.

Is there more info about Dora 2024, the Croatian national final?

Yes, the Croatian national broadcaster, HRT, has revealed more information about Dora 2024, next to its full lists of songs that will compete in the upcoming edition.

No less than 200 songs were submitted to HRT, which is a record-breaking number for the Croatian national final. Out of these 200 24 acts were chosen by a fully Croatian professional jury to compete in Dora 2024; among the jury members was Tomislav Krizmanić, president of OGAE Croatia.

Dora 2024 will have a semi-final again, and of course a final. What the content of both shows is going to be is not known yet, but what we do know is that both can be watched online and on TV, and in the case of watching it online we can say that we will broadcast both shows on our own platform, ESCplus Live.

Are there former Eurovision stars in the line-up of the Croatian national final?

There are former Eurovision stars in the line-up of the Croatian national final, like Damir Kedžo, who won Dora to compete in the contest of 2020, but due to the global pandemic this contest got cancelled, and Damir could not compete with his song “Divlji vjetre”. We also see the controversial 2023 band, Let 3, who competed in the contest of 2023, with the song “Mama ŠČ!”, ending in 13th place (out of 26) in the Grand Final.

Are there more acts chosen in case of artists withdrawing?

There are four acts chosen in case any artists withdrawing when it comes down to Dora 2024. Below you can find a list of these “extra” acts that will take the stage whenever one of the acts in the line-up withdraws.

Eurovision 2023

In the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool (United Kingdom) Croatia was represented by the band of gentlemen, Let 3, with the song “Mama ŠČ!”. The band came in 8th place (of 15) in Semi-final 1, and eventually took the 13th place (of 26) in the Grand Final. In 2024 they will compete again in the Croatian national selection to represent their country once again.
