The Bulgarian national broadcaster has announced details about how they will select the song Victoria will perform at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
Speculations on the new song first came earlier in November when Victoria released her song Ugly Cry which, as she said herself, was a potential candidate to go to Eurovision. The song received very good feedback from the audience on social media, and it’s still in the race to be the Bulgarian song as confirmed by the singer.
After that, no more Victoria songs have been neither published nor mentioned to be on the race for the selection. Today BNT has announced the Bulgarian song will be chosen from ones included in Victoria’s next EP that will be released next month, so a final decision hasn’t been made yet.
Each song of Victoria’s new EP, which will include five new songs, will be revealed along with an official lyric video on her YouTube channel.
VICTORIA says about her upcoming album: “Every young artist dreams about their first album. I am proud I will finally be able to share my EP with the world. The title “a little dramatic” best describes the overall arc of the songs on the album. I think I grew a lot in 2020, which was quite a dramatic year.”
Tomorrow, Victoria will make an appearance at BNT’s morning programme Denyat zapochava s Georgi Lubenov where she will reveal more details about ‘A Little Dramatic’
As well known, Victoria Georgieva will be Bulgaria’s representative for the second time after not being able to perform on the Eurovision stage in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic that got the contest cancelled.
Looking forward to 2021, the BNT is making sure that they go for it again after being one of the overall favourites to take the win in Rotterdam 2020.
