Bulgarian broadcaster to trust in new composers for Junior Eurovision 2016

Bulgaria has already selected its performer for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 and it’s time to look for the song the 10 years old winner Lidiya Ganeva will perform in Malta.

Many of you are probably wondering if the Bulgarian song will be composed by the same team behind “Planet of the Children” (JESC 2014) and “Colour of Hope” (JESC 2015), and we have the answer. BNT has revealed that they will go for another team this year, so we won’t see Evgeni Dimitrov and Slavi Trifonov composing for Bulgaria in 2016. The Bulgarian broadcaster has revealed some hints about how the song may sound:

It’s too early to predict the style of the song. As the jury said, Eurovision is not a vocal show-off and there are many other aspects to be considered. The songs they sang in the selection are typical for singing contests in Bulgaria and they are set as a definition for good or bad vocals. It’s like an exam. But, surely the song for JESC itself won’t be similar to the ones performed – that’s for sure. This year the song will be very different from what we presented in 2014 and 2015 as it will be produced by a new team and this is already clear. So, definitely something new on the horizon for Bulgaria, stated BNT’s Deyan Yordanov.

BNT is now open to new composers and ideas, so we will see what’s in store at the song presentation which will take place on a TV show by the end of September. In the meantime, you can enjoy Lidiya’s performance of Rapsodia at the First Semi-Final:
