Eurovision Eurovision 2024 Belgium

Belgium 2024: It is Mustii for Belgium!

Mustii has been selected internally by the French-speaking part of Belgium (Wallonia) to represent Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden). Belgium is the first country to have made their 2024 representative public.

Internal selection

It is not the first time the French-speaking part of Belgium chooses an internal selection, they did so in 2022 and 2019, but also in 2017 and 2015.

About Mustii

Mustii is the stage name of artist Thomas Mustin; he is both a singer and an actor. Next to this, Mustii is a judge on Wallonia’s “Drag Race Belgique”. Mustii originates from the French-speaking part of Belgium.

Belgium in Eurovision

Belgium consists of three language-parts: Flemish, French, and German. One year the Flemish part (Flanders) picks a representative, and the other year the French-speaking part (Wallonia). Over the years the French-speaking part has been significantly more successful, having at least one win under their belt (1986, Sandra Kim, J’aime la Vie), and quite recently the 4th position in the Grand Final of 2017 (Blanche, City Lights).

Eurovision 2023

In the Eurovision Song Contest of 2023 Belgium was represented by the Flemish (Flemish-speaking part of Belgium) singer, Gustaph. In the contest Gustaph sang “Because of You”, which ended up in 8th position (of 16) in Semi-final 2, and in 7th position (of 26) in the Grand Final.
