ITV has launched a public call for songs to find the track that will represent Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The submission window will be open to national and foreign composers until 7th February.
Composers shall send their songs in mp3 format, along with the lyrics and biography before the deadline, on 7th February, to the following e-mail address:Â [email protected]. The performer will be selected internally by the Azerbaijani broadcaster. ITV has highlighted a few rules:
- The songs must have a duration of up to 3 minutes.
- Works published before 1st September 2018 aren’t allowed.
- Tracks should be exclusive and can’t have been performed by other artists before.
Last year, Aisel represented Azerbaijan in Lisbon with the song ‘X My Heart’, but she didn’t manage to reach the Grand Final.
