About the song “Who the hell is Edgar?”

The song is about the music industry and everybody wanting to be a singer or musician, but who is really thinking about the makers of the songs, and are they met with the respect and rewards they deserve? In this regard, they ask the audience: “Who the hell is Edgar (Allen Poe)?”, a world-famous American writer of stories and poetry, people may have forgotten about. In the song one can also hear the lyrics “zero dot zero zero three”, which is remuneration an artist gets when one of their songs is played on streaming services. Which means that the song is not only funny, but it is also a charge against the current-day music industry.

The song, “Who the hell is Edgar?” was written and composed by Teodora Spiric, but also Selina-Maria Edbauer, Ronald Janeček and Pele Loriano. Eventually the song was recorded in both Prague (Czechia) and Zurich (Switzerland).

The music video of “Who the hell is Edgar?” was filmed in Prague, the capital city of Czechia.
