The Azerbaijani broadcaster, Ictimai, has announced that there are 5 acts still in the running to be chosen internally to represent this country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
The 5 acts have all recorded the same songs in the same studio, and eventually had to perform the songs live. Below you can find the 5 acts that are still in the running to represent Azerbaijan.

The next phase
The next phase will be that the acts’ studio and live versions of the songs will be shown to a professional committee. This committee will have the power to choose the eventually entry internally.
Eurovision 2022
In the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 Azerbaijan was represented by Nadir Rustamli with the song “Fade to Black”. Nadir Rustamli was the first entrant ever to progress to the Grand Final with 0 points from the viewers, and subsequently only points from the professional juries. In the Grand Final he finished 16th (of 25).
