The lawyer of Melissa Mantzoukis, one of the entrants of the Greek national selection, is looking to get some legeal action against the Greek national broadcaster, ERT, now that the results of the Greek national selection have been made public.

The results of the Greek selection have been revealed by the lawyer of Greek entrant Melissa Mantzoukis, because the results show that there is a possibly “strange” discrepancy between the results of the public votes and the votes of the national broadcaster. The selection happened internally, thus untelevised.

The reason for possible legal actions
The reason for possible legal actions is the following: Melissa’s legal team questions the difference between the votes of the Audience Committee and the ERT Committee, because on an average scale Melissa received 9.9 points from the Audience Committee, but a mere 6.3 average of the ERT Committee.
The national broadcaster of Greece, ERT, has not commented on the matter yet, not whether the published results of Melissa Mantzoukis’ lawyer are the right ones or on the overall situation.
2023 entrant
On January 30th 2023 the Greek national broadcaster, ERT, announced that it will be Victor Vernicos who will fly the Greek flag in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song “What They Say”.
