Slovenia selects Omar Naber for Eurovision!

Another act has been added to the Eurovision 2017 line-up as the Slovenian final has just concluded in Ljubljana. Omar Naber have been declared the winner of EMA 2017 after having got the support of both, audience and regional judges. He will perform the song “On my Way” in the first semi-final of Eurovision 2017.

Omar Naber is not a stranger to the Eurovision fans, as he already represented Slovenia at Eurovision 2005 which also took place in Kyiv. Twelve years ago he performed the song “Stop”, but he didn’t manage to qualify for the Grand Final. Now, as he said to ESC+Plus, he is ready to relieve his dream knowing the importance of Eurovision.

The running order for the final was as it follows:

  1. Sell Out – Ni panike
  2. Nuška Drašček – Flower in the snow
  3. Tim Kores – Open fire
  4. Nika Zorjan – FSE
  5. KiNG FOO – Wild ride
  6. Omar Naber – On my way
  7. BQL – Heart of gold
  8. Raiven – Zažarim

The winner of Eurovision 2016 Jamala, last year’s Slovenian representative ManuElla and 1994 Croatian entrant Toni Cetinski performed as guests of the show, which was hosted once again by Tina Gorenjak, Maja Martina Merljak, Tanja Kocman and Mario Galunič.
