Among the names, there are some former Sanremo participants, X Factor acts and new young artists. However, we must wait and see which artists have been selected to compete in the Italian music festival by the host Carlo Conti and his team.

Once again, the artist which wins the “Campioni” category of Sanremo 2017 will get the right to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest. Last year Stadio won the festival category, but their choice was not to present their song to the wider European audience in Stockholm due to touring commitments. Instead, the runner-up Francesca Michielin was chosen to perform at Eurovision, finishing 16th in the grand final with her song “No Degree Of Separation”.

The official announcement of the “Campioni” acts will happen tonight, during a special live broadcast which you can follow at 21.35 CET on RAI 1.
