Latvia at Eurovision: A Quick Overview

Latvia debuted at Eurovision in 2000 and has participated every year since. The country has consistently selected its representative through national selections—originally Eirodziesma, and since 2015, Supernova.

Latvia’s crowning moment came in 2002, when Marie N won Eurovision in Tallinn with “I Wanna”. The country also achieved third place in its debut with Brainstorm’s “My Star” in 2000.

While early years brought success, recent editions have been challenging. After notable top finishes with Aminata’s “Love Injected” (6th in 2015) and Justs’ “Heartbeat” (15th in 2016), Latvia failed to qualify for the final in subsequent years. Their last qualification was in 2024, when Dons with “Hollow” made it to the final, placing 16th with 64 points.
