AVROTROS has just announced that Waylon will represent The Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The Dutch singer and composer has already represented his country as part The Common Linnets, achieving a second place in 2014.
Many reported entrants, only one name:
As in previous years, many different singers have been rumored to have been chosen by AVROTROS. Recent reports pointed to Within Temptation lead vocalist Sharon den Adel being the selected one, as the singer will make a big announcement tomorrow.
Other rumoured names were Pleun Bierbooms, Sharon Doorson, Maan and Romy Monteiro, but some of them had already stated they hadn’t been selected to represent The Netherlands in Lisbon.
