On February 4th 2024 alyona alyona & Jerry Heil, with the song “Teresa & Maria”, were announced the winning act of Vidbir 2024, the Ukrainian national final. The duo will fly the Ukrainian flag in Malmö (Sweden) in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
Vidbir 2024
The national final of Ukraine, Vidbir 2024, took place a couple of days earlier than February 4th 2024, but because a special app that could be used by the public to vote failed, the announcement of the winners was postponed. Vidbir 2024 was hosted by Julia Sanina, Timur Miroshnychenko, and Vasyl Baidak. No less than 1,167,176 votes were cast to decide the winner of war-stricken Ukraine to compete in Eurovision 2024.
In this national contest seven acts took the stage. There was a professional jury and public voting to come up with the eventual winners. The members of the jury were chosen by the Ukrainian public.

Alyona alyona is seen as “the rap star of Ukraine”. She released her first album in 2019 and has had huge success in her country ever since. Alyona alyona does not only rap, she is also a songwriter. American newspaper, The New York Times, compared her to international rap star, Azealia Banks.
Jerry Heil is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter, and YouTube star. Jerry shot to fame in Ukraine after launching her YouTube channel back in 2012; her first record was released in 2017.
