It’s time for one last stop before we head down the track towards ‘Grand Final Central’ in Hungary’s selection process for ESC 2018. Yes, the Second Semi-Final of A Dal 2018 is broadcast live this evening at 20:30 CET.
Tonight, four more acts will make it to that Final on 24th February, while five will get the taxi home. So who are the nine hopefuls who’ll be battling hard for those precious seat reservations?

If you’ve been following this entertaining competition so far, you’ll know exactly how it works – two rounds of voting, with the first round combining scores from the four judges and the viewer vote (based on SMS, mobile app and online voting) to produce three qualifiers. Then a public vote will generate the fourth and last qualifier.
The excellent dynamic duo of Kriszta Rátonyi and Hungary’s ESC 2016 representative Freddie will steer us through proceedings. Meanwhile (for my money) the best jury in the business – Károly Frenreisz, Judit Schell, Miklós Both and Misi Mező – will let rip with thoughts, feedback and those all-important marks for each act. Phew! Well, you know what they say – if you can’t handle the pressure, get out of the water pipe! (Or sit quietly in your kitchen with a classic novel…)
