The Croatian broadcaster HRT will choose its entry for Eurovision 2021 tonight, with the unique show of its Dora national selection. The show, which will be hosted by Daniela Trbović, Barbara Kolar, Jelena Lešić and Doris Pinčić, will start at 20.10 CET.
A total of fourteen songs will compete for a chance to win the Croatian ticket to Rotterdam next May:
- Nina Kraljić (Alkonost Of Balkan) – Rijeka
- Eric – Reci mi
- Ella Orešković – Come This Way
- Bernarda – Colors
- Sandi Cenov – Kriv
- ToMa – Ocean of Love
- Filip Rudan – Blind
- Beta Sudar – Ma zamisli
- Cambi – Zaljubljen
- Ashley I Bojan – Share the Love
- Brigita Vuco – Noći pijane
- Mia Negovetić – She’s Like Dream
- Albina – Tick-Tock
- Tony Cetinski I Kiki Rahimovski – Zapjevaj, sloboda je!
A panel of regional juries and viewers will select the winning artist and song on a 50/50 basis. In case of a tie, the opinion of the audience will prevail.
The regions that will be represented by the regional jury are Čakovec and Varaždin, Rijeka, Pula, Osijek, Zadar, Knin and Šibenik, Split and Dubrovnik. Each regional panel will consist of three members: an HRT representative and two music experts. Each Jury will evaluate the songs and rank the ten best songs, distributing points using the Eurovision system of 1-8, 10 and 12 points.
The televoting lines will not open until all the performances are over and will remain open for 15 minutes.
In addition, mainly due to the current health situation, the following four reserves have been chosen in case a contestant is unable to participate:
- Elis Lovrić – Brodolom
- Endi feat. Lora – Megaloman
- Pjerino Ružević – Soldier
- Z/11 – Only Love
A preview of all the songs was released last Saturday as, according to the national selection rules imposed by HRT, the artists will not be able to release the full songs until the end of the show.
Croatia is another country that has decided not to keep the artist of the cancelled 2020 edition Damir Kedžo, who won “Dora 2020” with his song “Divlji vjetre”.
