Mija Vujović will represent Montenegro at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the song “Muzika nas spaja”, whose title translates as “Music Unites Us”.
The Montenegrin Radio Television (RTCG) has internally selected the young performer to defend the colors of the Balkan country at the 24th edition of the European children’s contest, which will take place on October 24 in Malta. The Montenegrin entry seeks to convey a message of unity and connection through the universal language of music.
The title of the entry was presented during the program ‘Više od ljeta’, where the first details about the song were also revealed. “Muzika nas spaja” was composed by Marko Kon and Vasilije Čolan, two names connected to the region’s music and Eurovision scene. Kon represented Serbia at Eurovision 2009 with “Cipela”, while Čolan took part in the Serbian national selection Pesma za Evroviziju in 2022. You can listen to the song just below:
At just nine years old, Mija Vujović already has stage experience and has received various awards at children’s festivals across the region. Among them are the first prize for interpretation at Dok teče Lašva, the award for best stage performance at Naša radost, and the professional jury award at Zlatna pahulja. She is also a member of the children’s choir ‘Zvjezdice’.

Mija Vujović is 9 years old. She studies at the British School of Podgorica, having recently completed her fifth year. She is fluent in both English and French. Music, dance and the arts have been part of her everyday life since she was very young. In addition to singing and dancing, she also develops her artistic side through drawing, painting and recitation.
The Montenegrin representative is a member of the Zvjezdice children’s choir and this year she also took part as a performer in the educational audiovisual project Razglednica Podgorice za djecu, created by Ljubo Jovović.
Despite her young age, Mija Vujović already has an impressive list of achievements. On her debut at the international festival Dok Teče Lašva, she won the first prize for best interpretation, an award she defended a year later by winning second prize in the same category. She has also been recognized for her performance at the children’s festival Naša Radost and received the professional jury award at Zlatna Pahulja 2025.
Among her most recent achievements, the second prize for best interpretation at the Ta Se Pesma Ljubav Zove festival, held in Kikinda (Serbia), stands out. There, she was also recognized by the children’s jury and the Čuperak choir.
Marko Kon and Vasilije “Vasco” Čolan, the team behind “Muzika Nas Spaja”
The authors of “Muzika Nas Spaja” have an extensive career on the Balkan music scene and a strong Eurovision connection. Marko Kon represented Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 alongside Milaan with the song “Cipela”. At the contest held in Moscow (Russia), they received 60 points, placing 10th in the public vote (which decided nine of the 10 finalists). However, they did not secure a place in the grand final, as Croatia, which was selected by the national juries, took 10th place.
Following his participation in the European contest, he has developed an established career as a composer, producer and arranger for numerous artists, taking part in national and international festivals and collaborating with some of the most prominent names on the Balkan music scene.
For his part, Vasilije “Vasco” Čolan is a composer and music producer, known for having participated in the Serbian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. With the song “Znaš Li”, he finished in last place in the second semi-final of Pesma za Evroviziju, after failing to receive any points, and therefore did not qualify.
Throughout his career, he has worked on the production and composition of various musical projects, establishing himself as one of the emerging names on the Serbian music scene. His songs are characterized by a style that combines contemporary sounds with influences from Balkan pop.
