France has been preparing for Junior Eurovision 2026 with a particular focus on the internal selection of its representative. This year, France Télévisions has once again placed its trust in this selection method to choose the young artist who will have the honor of representing France at the European contest. Ultimately, Alec Burette will be the French representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026, which will take place on Saturday, October 24 at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali (Malta).
“Comment Tu Vas?” will be the song that Alec Burette will perform on the Eurovision stage. The song was released this Thursday, September 24, together with its official music video, on the official YouTube channel of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Since his selection, young Alec Burette has worked with France Télévisions to find the right entry for his vocal and stage qualities before taking to the Junior Eurovision 2026 stage.

The song “Comment Tu Vas?”, which translates as “How Are You?”, was written and is performed by [Alec Burette], the French representative at Junior Eurovision 2026.
Alec Burette was selected to represent France after taking part in the program ‘N’oubliez pas les enfants’, broadcast on France 2 in 2025. His talent as a singer and musician, his piano skills, and his ease on stage convinced the French delegation to entrust him with the country’s bid at Junior Eurovision 2026.
The music video for “Comment Tu Vas?” was produced by Panache Records and Les Casquettes Films, with Marc Postel-Vinay as executive producer and Franck Marchand in charge of directing, screenwriting, and editing. The production also features Claire Saurin as the person responsible for production.
The technical team includes professionals from different areas of filmmaking. Paul Parent is the director of photography, accompanied by Antoine Campish and Thaïs Decorzen as camera assistants. Adrien Bernard was in charge of the steadicam, while Thibaud Danton oversaw the lighting design alongside Mathieu Lecaplain. Video playback was handled by Barnabé Letellier.
Meanwhile, Valérie Djian was responsible for hair, makeup, and costume, while stylist Charles de Vilmorin completed the visual concept. The music video project was filmed in various locations, including the Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel.

Alec Burette is the young singer and musician who will represent France at Junior Eurovision 2026. The young artist is 12 years old and comes from the French region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in southeastern France. From a young age, Alec Burette has demonstrated an innate passion for music, especially for the piano and guitar.
Alec Burette began playing the piano when he was 5 years old and started playing the guitar at the age of 7. In addition to singing and playing several instruments, he also writes his own songs, developing different facets within the world of music from a very young age.
The piano plays a fundamental role in his artistic career. The young artist often accompanies himself on this instrument during his performances and has performed songs by artists such as Céline Dion, Francis Cabrel, Zaho de Sagazan, and Charles Aznavour. His repertoire brings together songs and styles from different eras, with a special presence of French music.
Interestingly, Alec Burette’s vocal training began much later than his instrumental studies. During his presentation as France’s representative, the young artist explained that he began taking singing lessons in September 2025. Despite having been studying vocal technique for a relatively short time, his musicality and his ease on stage convinced the French delegation.
Alec Burette has stood out in various singing competitions. In 2025, he won ‘Les Étoiles du Léman’ and took part in the auditions for the French version of ‘The Voice Kids’. He also participated in ‘N’oubliez pas les enfants’, showcasing his musical talent to the French public.
In June 2026, he was selected by France Télévisions to represent France at Junior Eurovision 2026. During his presentation, he performed songs by Lou Deleuze and Elton John on the piano. In addition, he will take part in the musical ‘Une seconde avant Noël’, where he will play Harold, further expanding his artistic experience alongside his Eurovision adventure.
