SRF has just announced that Stephanie Palazzo, one of the chosen artists for the Swiss national final has been disqualified due to breaking of rules!
Stephanie will be replaced by the band Kaceo, who will perform the song “Disque D’Or” at the Swiss national final for Eurovision 2016:
As stated by SRF, the song that Stephanie was going to perform at the Grand Final, “Perché mi guardi Cosi?”, was released in 2013 with different French lyrics, which makes it illegible for the Eurovision competition. According to the EBU rules, the competing entries at Eurovision can’t be made public until September 1 of the previous year.
The line-up for the national final is now as it follows:
- Bella C – Another World
- Vincent Gross – Half A Smile
- Stanley Miller – Feel The Love
- Kaceo – Disque D’Or
- Rykka – The Last Of Our Kind
- Theo – Because Of You
Our poll has been restarted, don’t forget to vote:
A total of 19 candidates made it to the audition stage (“Expert Check”), live broadcasted last Saturday from SRF Studio 5 in Zürich. An expert panel were in charge of assessing the vocal skills and stage presence of the performers.
The selected 6 candidates will compete at the Swiss national final to take place on the 16 of February, 2016.
