During the last four weeks, 8 acts have qualified for the final of the Swedish national selection Melodifestivalen 2016 directly through the semi-finals, while another 8 have got one more chance to make it to the final through the second chance round “Andra Chansen”. Tonight, it is finally time for them to fight for the last four spots in the grand final.
The 8 songs have been spread out in four duels, with the winner of each duel qualifying to the final of Melodifestivalen 2016:
- Duel 1: Panetoz – Håll Om Mig Hårt VS. Molly Pettersson-Hammar – Hunger
- Duel 2: Albin & Mattias – Rik VS. Boris René – Put Your Love On Me
- Duel 3: SaRaha – Kizunguzungu VS. Isa – I Will Wait
- Duel 4: Dolly Style – Rollercoaster VS. Samir & Viktor – Bada Nakna
The show will be held in the Halmstad Arena and it will be hosted by Gina Dirawi, along with singers Ola Salo and Peter Jöback. Last year’s Melodifestivalen finalist Hasse Andersson will be an interval act and during the show several experts will comment on the Melodifestivalen trends this year. Moreover, the executive producer of Melodifestivalen, Christer Björkman, will reveal the running order for the grand final, including the four artists that have qualified throughout the night.
