According to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, Loreen is set to come back to Melodifestivalen 2023!
The team around her has worked really hard to convince her to participate in Melodifestivalen for a fourth time and apparently they succeeded. It’s not a secret that Loreen is not a fan of competitions and was very reluctant on taking part again, especially after her elimination in the Andra Chansen round with “Statements” in 2017.
However, another source says
She usually doesn’t make up her mind until the last moment. The definitive announcement may come the days right before the press conference this time as well.
So, we take the news with a pinch of salt until the press conference where all the artists will officially be announced.
Apparently, Loreen has fallen in love with the song written by the Euphoria-duo Thomas G:son and Peter Boström joined by Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt who was behind Tusse‘s “Voices” and has written songs for Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias.
Melodifestivalen 2023 kicks off with the first heat on Saturday 4th of February. SVT is expected to reveal the 28 acts during one or two digital press conferences at the end of November.
