Sweden: Farah Abadi and Jesper Rönndahl to host – Dates of Melodifestivalen 2023

SVT revealed the host of the upcoming Melodifestivalen which plans to go back on tour! Last year’s tour got cancelled a few weeks before the contest kicked off due to covid-19.

Farah Abadi and Jesper Rönndahl will be the hosts of Melodifestivalen 2023 starting in Gothenburg on Saturday 4th February. Melodifestivalen will continue to Linköping, Lidköping, Malmö, Örnsköldsvik and finally to Stockholm.

It feels so incredibly fun to be part of Melodifestivalen again. And to think that I will have the funny, sharp and wonderful Jesper Rönndahl by my side – what an honor. The fact that Sweden’s party is also rolling out on tour again makes me a little extra anticipate. This is going to be super fun!

Farah Abadi

This is the biggest TV show I’ve done, and of course it’s thrilling. I haven’t exactly distinguished myself as a music guy, so my role is probably more to keep track of everything – and to be funny. Or, I think that’s what they have thought anyway? In any case, it feels extremely safe and happy and fun to be allowed to have Farah by my side.

Jesper Rönndahl

As a new project manager for Melodifestivalen, it is wonderful to start with two fantastic hosts. Farah has done it before and will create great sense of security with her warmth and engagement. Jesper will add humor with his special flashy and subtle personality. I hope viewers look forward to this hosting duo as much as I do!
