Slovenia: RTVSLO launches EMA FRES, submissions open

EMA FREŠ is a contest that will give the opportunity to unknown talent to reach the Slovenian national final that will choose their representative in Eurovision 2020.

Participants must be between 16 and 26 years old. In addition, they must have a minimum of three original songs on platforms with their respective copyright.

Participants must record a half-minute presentation and a video singing an unpublished song lasting one minute. Next Fall, the RTVSLO will decide the winner through online voting, which will be accessed by a daily winner within the videos received and shared through the social networks.

The registration period to participate in the EMA FREŠ will end on September 19 and you can access the registration form in the following link,

Zala Kralj & Gašper Šantl who represented Slovenia in Tel Aviv were quite popular on social media platforms. This could be a great way to engage with fans of young talent and find Slovenia’s next Eurovision finalist.

At the same time, the call for songs from established performers is also now open at www.rtvslo.si/ema2020. Anyone who has commercially released more than three (3) copyrighted songs may respond to this invitation. An expert jury will select the EMA finalists from these applicants.

The application deadline for EMA FREŠ online selection is September 19, 2019, and for established contractors, November 18, 2019.
