Sevak Khanagyan becomes the Armenian hopeful for Eurovision 2018!

Sevak Khanagyan will follow in Artsvik as the Armenian entrant at Eurovision!

The Grand Final of the annual Armenian national selection process Depi Evratesil has just taken place live from Yerevan. A total of 10 acts took the stage tonight in order to fight for the ticket that would lead one of them to the biggest music stage in the world.

As a result of the combination of the votes awarded by the expert panel and the televote, the country has decided that Sevak Khanagyan will fly the Armenian colours in Portugal with the song “Qami”.

Ten acts competed at today’s show:

  3. Lusine Mardanyan – If You Don’t Walk Me Home
  4. Kamil Show – Puerto Rico
  5. Amaliya Margaryan – Waiting For The Sun
  6. Nemra – I’m A Liar
  7. Mariam Petrosyan – Fade
  8. Mger Armenia – Forever
  9. Robert Koloyan – Get Away With Us
  10. Asmik Shiroyan – You & I

Former Armenian HoD, JESC 2011 co-host and TV presenter Gohar Gasparyan hosted the entire competition for all the Armenian viewers during the past few days.

The Armenian representative in Lisbon will now go on to sing at the first semifinal on May 8th, as drawn during the Semi-Final Allocation Draw which took place in January live from the Lisbon City Hall.
