Karusel TV and the Academy of Popular Music Igor Krutoy have just announced the name of the 16 candidates that have gone through to final of the Russian national selection for Junior Eurovision 2016.
The Russian finalists have been decided by a professional jury panel after live auditions held in Moscow. You can find the full list below:

- Maria Mirova

- Maria Zhuravleva
- Group” Zhara”
- Liza Kuznetsova
- Milana Zharekhina
- Vilena Hikmatullina
This year, Russia will use the same selection procedure than last year, through which the winner will be decided by a 50/50 mix of jury and on-line voting to be open shortly.
The Russian national final will be held on August 15 in the Artek Children Camp located in Crimea. The show will be broadcast on the kids channel Karousel with the results being announced live. However, the performances will be aired pre-recorded.
