Romanian national selection goes big in 2018

TVR has just revealed their national selection plans for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The Romanian broadcaster will select its next representative through a revamped ‘Selectia Nationala‘ that will be made up of six shows held in six different cities.

Romania will go big with their 2018 national selection as they will select their next Eurovision representative from a long competition that will feature five semi-finals and a national final. TVR will release an open call for songs and artists in November and a professional jury panel will shortlist the candidates that will compete in the live shows, set to take place in six different cities. The Romanian national selection will be broadcast in January and February 2018.

Ilinca ft. Alex Florea represented Romania at this year’s Eurovision with the powerful tune ‘Yodel it!’, which led them to a 7th place in the Grand Final:
