Portugal: Final line-up for Festival Da Cançao now complete

The second and last semi-final of this year’s Portuguese national selection contest for Eurovision 2017 has just finished and it gives four clear acts which will be joining last week’s qualifiers and willing to represent the country in May. The show was introduced this time by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and Jorge Gabriel from RTP Studio 1 in Lisbon.

This were the competing acts of tonight’s show, qualifiers in bold:

  • David Gomes – “My paradise”
  • Lena d’Água – “Nunca me fui emborada”
  • Beatriz Felicio – “Ao teo olhar”
  • Pedro Gonçalves – “Don’t walk away”
  • Helena Kendall – “Andamos no céu”
  • Celina da Piedade – “Primavera”
  • Jorge Benvinda – “Gente bestial”
  • Inês Sousa – “Se o tempo nao falasse”

The semi-final qualifiers of Festival Da Canção 2017 have been chosen by combining the votes from the expert panel in the studio and the televoting (distributed on seven different Portuguese regions including islands) on an equal rate (50/50). This will also determine the winner in the grand final.

After tonight’s semi-final, the final line-up of artists competing to represent Portugal in Kiev has now been all set, these are the eight acts competing on stage next Sunday at Coliseo Dos Recreios:
