What will be the national set-up of Poland to find its next representant?

TVP, Poland’s national broadcaster, has stated that it has opted for an internal selection of its upcoming contestant for Eurovision 2024. Recently it became known that quite some acts wanted to compete for Poland, read our article here.

How can Polish artists participate in the internal selection?

Polish artists can participate by sending in a submission to the Polish national broadcaster, TVP; this can be done until 22:00 CET on February 2nd 2024. The song submission window opened yesterday (09-01-2024).

To participate you need to be at least 16 or older and you must have Polish citizenship.

What happened to the televised national selection of Poland?

Before Poland chose the televised program, “Tu bije serce Europy – Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję!”, as the way to find its next representative, but this idea was abandoned for the Eurovision 2024 season. This decision has been made by the Polish national broadcaster, TVP.

Probably the reason for this is that last year’s Polish entry Blanka was very controversial. Blanka won over the professional jury and the televotes, the results were very questionable, and seemed to be manipulated.

Who competed for Poland in Eurovision 2023?

The artist that competed for Poland last year was Blanka with the song “Solo”. In Semi-final 2 Blanka ended in 3rd position (of 16), and eventually she came in 19th (of 26) in the Grand Final.
