Eurovision 2016 Review – United Kigdom

Dare I say this might be in my top ten? Okay It isn’t top ten… I’m still in love with this song though. It sounds a bit like One Direction and I mean that in a good way. This sweet pop song sounds English and it sounds now. These boys are 20 and 21 respectively, and that youth brings an energy to this song. Can Joe Woolford and Jake Shakeshaft breathe life into the UK’s abysmal ESC record?

Robbie Williams gave the boys kudos and that is high praise indeed. Jake is the stronger vocalist in my opinion but Joe isn’t putting any of his weaknesses under a microscope on this track. Twitter has not been very kind to the “You’re Not Alone” duo, but I think the “haters” should chill. The song is NOT THAT BAD! Will it win? No.  Will the BBC give this duo what they need to wow us on the stage? I hope so.

If the music video is any indication… I’m not expecting Joe & Jake to have the money to amp up this song on stage. But at the end of the day, the song is good and the UK should be proud to root for this duo.

How many points with the UK get at Eurovision 2016?
