Firstly, thank you F.Y.R. Macedonia for singing something in your native language. Secondly, thank you for bringing Kaliopi back. I don’t know if this will go on to the final, but I like it.
Kaliopi is bringing strong vocals and a catchy chorus. The song is a little dated but it feels right. There is something about the arrangement, vocals, and lyrics that seems to work seamlessly. The song although epic has a lightness to it. Warning: This song could get stuck in your head.
Many of the songs are shying away from orchestral arrangements this year. “Dona” has an epic quality thanks to the orchestral feel. Kaliopi looks amazing and this will be a highlight of semi final two. Kaliopi was selected internally. Could Kaliopi bring FYR Macedonia their first qualification since 2012?
Probably not… but I wouldn’t be mad if they did qualify.
