It’s official! RTP has selected their next Junior Eurovision hopeful from Gala dos Pequenos Cantores da Figueira da Foz. So, the winner, 10-years old Joana Almeida, will be waving her country’s flag in Gliwice, Poland. She will sing “Vem Comigo” (Come With Me) on November 24.

Two days ago, Joana Almeida was pointed to have been selected to represent Portugal at Junior Eurovision 2019. RTP has now confirmed the news, she will perform on the big stage.

Joana will sing “Vem Comigo” (Come With Me), composed by João Pedro Coimbra, who was asked to write the Portuguese entry for this year’s Junior Eurovision. Just like the Serbian and Spanish songs, the song talks about the environment and the need to raise awareness about the earth’s situation within the young population. Together, we can make a difference and revert this devastating trend.

Joana Almeida won the 31st Gala dos Pequenos Cantores da Figueira da Foz on July 14 performing the song “No Deixes” (Never Give Up).You can watch the full contest on YouTube (Joana at 55:45):
