Norway: NRK open submissions for Melodi Grand Prix 2017

Today, NRK have opened submissions for the Norwegian national selection for Eurovision 2017.

Both Norwegian and foreign composers are encouraged to submit their songs until September 11, taking into account that the tracks can’t be made public until the 1st of September and the performer(s) should be at least 16 years old.

The head of Melodi Grand Prix, Jan Fredrik Karlsen, believes that NRK can bring the victory back to Norway by winning the next edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which is going to be held in Ukraine:

“When one is MGP-general can not go into such a competition without having the faith to win. I am 100 percent ready to take the Eurovision Song Contest back to Norway”, says Karlson.

All the interested candidates can send their songs by clicking here.

The last Norwegian ambassador for Eurovision Song Contest was Agnete, who performed her song Icebreaker at the second semifinal in Stockholm. Unfortunately, Agnete didn’t qualify for the final as took the 12th position. We hope that head of MGP Jan Fredrik Karlsen is right and this year Norway will have huge success in Eurovision.
