Ana Stojanoska will represent North Macedonia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with “Idnata Jas,” which translates as “My Future Self.”
This Wednesday, September 23, public broadcaster Makedonska Radio Televizija (MRT) presented the entry with which the young artist will represent the Balkan country at the 24th edition of the European contest after being internally selected.
As with its most recent participations, broadcaster MRT has opted to internally select its representative at Junior Eurovision 2026 following a public call for applications, along with the selection of the entry that will be performed at the contest. This will be the 21st participation of North Macedonia in Junior Eurovision.
This is “Idnata Jas,” North Macedonia’s entry for Junior Eurovision 2026
“Idnata Jas” features both Macedonian and English in its lyrics. As announced in June during the presentation of Ana Stojanoska as the North Macedonian representative, Nikola Micevski is responsible for the music composition and arrangements, while the lyrics were written by Ilcho Nechovski. The music production is handled by Dejan Miromorski and Nikola Micevski, who are also responsible for the mixing and mastering.
Alongside the vocals of Ana Stojanoska, Marta Kuch and Teodora Micevska provide the backing vocals. In the orchestration, the prominent role of string instruments stands out, performed by virtuosos Vladimir Krstev, Maja Shekerova, and Emil Chichonovski.
For its part, the North Macedonian entry also highlights traditional instruments such as the tambura (Zlatko Miladinoski) and the kaval (Daniel Manevski), which are typical of the Balkans and Eastern Europe.
The North Macedonian entry has also released its official music video. For its creation, broadcaster MRT brought together a large artistic and technical team, both for its production and direction.
For its staging, the choreography was directed by Ilija Karadakoski. It features 17 dancers from Eat the Beat Dance Studio (Kaja Tevdovska, Kalina Vragoterova, Elena Markov, Anja Saveska, Ema Tevdovska, Darija Ilievska, Marija Cvetanovska, Teodora Kunoska, Hristina Mishkovska, Mihaela Ivanovska, Kaja Minovska, Ana Marija Kacarska, Katja Kolevska, Bisera Jankova, Teodora Dubrovskа, Anastаsija Dudeska, and Marija Stojanovska).
Ana Stojanoska’s music video features Elena Luka as the person responsible for styling and costume design, and Vladimir Trajkovski, who is in charge of hair and makeup.
The audiovisual production was led by Goran Cvetkovikj, MRT’s production director, while Sasho Dokovski served as director of photography. Dijana Gogova is credited as editorial and production supervisor, and Slagjan Jovanovikj as production manager. The aerial footage was handled by Filip Isakov, drone operator, with Vasil Janev and Zoran Stojkovikj in charge of lighting.
For its part, the music video editing was carried out by Aristid Filaktov, with Nemanja Mihailovikj as editing assistant. Sanja Balshikjevska was responsible for talent support and for the minors participating in the project.

Independently of the selection of Ana Stojanoska as the representative, a parallel call for composers and lyricists was held, resulting in the song with which the artist will take to the stage in Ta’ Qali. The entry chosen unanimously by the expert jury was “Idnata Jas,” composed by Nikola Micevski with lyrics by Ilcho Nechovski.
Nikola Micevski is one of the most prominent artists on the North Macedonian music scene. He is a composer, arranger, and producer who stands out for his creative strength and a track record of successes. His music possesses a recognizable emotional depth, a strong melodic identity, and refined production, making his work a significant mark on North Macedonian music. He focuses on songs that connect emotion with contemporary sound, thanks to his experience, musical sensitivity, and ability to create hits.
For his part, Ilcho Nechovski, known to the general public as a member of the North Macedonian band Duper. As a songwriter and performer, he stands out for his contemporary lyrical expression, authenticity, and ability to convey personal emotions through a language that is direct, youthful, and close to the audience. He focuses on lyrics that are fresh, warm, sincere, and marked by contemporary sensitivity.
The talent and voice of Ana Stojanoska come together with the experience and creativity of the team formed by Nikola Micevski and Ilcho Nechovski. The North Macedonian entry seeks to present a song full of emotion, energy, and a powerful message for young audiences across Europe.

Who is Ana Stojanoska? Meet North Macedonia’s representative at Junior Eurovision 2026
Ana Stojanoska is a 13-year-old singer from Struga, a city in southwestern North Macedonia located on the shores of Lake Ohrid and known for its tourist appeal. From a very young age, she has shown a special sensitivity towards music, developing part of her training at the music school in her hometown.
Despite her young age, Ana Stojanoska has experience on various stages and in music competitions. Among her earliest appearances was her participation in the 64th edition of the State Competition for Students of Music Schools in North Macedonia, showcasing the early development of her vocal and artistic abilities.
She has also been part of ‘Muzicka Fabrika’, a national project dedicated to discovering, supporting, and promoting the country’s young musical talent. As part of this project, she performed “Ne sakam da ziveam na Mars” (“I Don’t Want to Live on Mars”), her first single.
In June 2026, North Macedonia’s public broadcaster MRT announced her selection as the representative of North Macedonia at Junior Eurovision 2026, following an audition process in which a jury highlighted her vocal qualities, stage presence, and artistic potential.
