The Netherlands: Montana gets qualifying wildcard for Junior Songfestival final

AVROTROS has just announced that Montana will compete at this year’s Junior Songfestival final which will take place on September 16th. Montana will join Sezina and FOURCE in the final show from which the next Dutch representative will be selected.

Montana competed at the First Semi-Final:

The wildcard decision was in the hands of a special panel made up of former participants Ralf Mackenbach (JSF 2009), Mylène & Rosanne (JSF 2013) and Kisses (JSF 2016). These judges were in charge of selecting the third finalist among the non-qualifiers from both semi-finals.

The line-up for the final of Junior Songfestival 2017 is as follows:

Keep in mind…

The Dutch broadcaster has decided to go back to the televised shows for 2017. However, this year’s Junior Songfestival will be different from previous editions as, apparently, it will be aimed to select the singer and the winner will be selected by 100% jury decision. Moreover, the shows seem to have been recorded a few days ago, so the winner might have already been chosen. We will have to wait and see what AVROTROS has in its pockets…
