The road to Junior Eurovision 2022
In the first half of February 2022 the Armenian government announced that the host city of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be the capital of Armenia, Yerevan. The event will be held in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, just like the 2011 edition of the junior version of the Eurovision Song Contest. The preparations for this Eurovision event are in full swing in Armenia; members of the EBU and the Armenian broadcaster AMPTV gathered last week to talk about the preparations of the Junior Eurovision event.
There might be some issues concerning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022, since it might coincide with the World Cup Soccer, which will be held in Qatar around the same time. In this regard, there might be some problems with television rights.
