Netherlands 2023: Dutch entry reveal on March 1st

The national Dutch broadcaster, AVROTROS, has made public that the Dutch entry will be revealed on Wednesday March 1st 2023. We already know the name of the song, “Chasing Highs”.

The internally selected Dutch duo that is going to represent the Netherlands this year is Mia Nicolai & Dion Cooper; this information was released at the end of last year. The song that the duo is going to perform is written by the representants themselves, but also by Dutch 2019 winner, Duncan Laurence, and his fiancé, Jordan Garfield. The name of the song is “Chasing Highs”.

About Mia Nicolai & Don Cooper

Mia Nicolai is a 26-year old Dutch singer who works and lives in Los Angeles to pursue the American dream in music. Mia plays music since she was three years young. In 2020 Mia’s first single came out; the name of the single was “Set Me Free”.

Dion Cooper is 28 years of age, but he started playing the guitar at age 15. The first EP of Dion came out in 2021 and was titled “Too Young, Too Dumb”.

Eurovision 2023

In the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 the Netherlands will compete in the second half of the first Semi-final.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. This year’s contest is a joint one, since Ukraine won last year, but cannot organize in their home country, because of the ongoing war with Russia.

Eurovision 2022

In the Eurovision Song Contest of 2022 in Turin (Italy) the Netherlands was represented by singer S10 with the song “De Diepte”. In Semi-final 1 S10 came in 2nd, and in the Grand Final she came in 11th (of 25).
