In 2010 Sunstroke Project competed with the song “Run Away” in Oslo (Norway), and in 2017 they competed with “Hey, Mamma”, and now the fun-loving Moldovan duo Sunstroke Project will try their best to once again compete in the national final of this country.

Sunstroke Project competed twice up to now, making it to the Grand Final both times, and even ending in 3rd place in the Grand Final of 2017, which makes the duo the most successful Moldovan Eurovision act to date.
Etapa națională 2023
Until today, 17:00 CEST time, artists can submit their entry to the Moldovan national broadcaster, and by doing so they might compete in the Moldovan national final of 2023, with the name “Etapa națională 2023”.
3 stages
The Moldovan selection will know 3 stages as you can find below:
- All submission will be reviewed by a commission (between January 25th – 28th 2023)
- Televised auditions on TV Moldova 2, with the 10 progressing qualifiers being chosen by 100% professional jury votes (between January 28th 2023 – February 5th 2023)
- Televised national Grand Final on TV Moldova 1 and online. The ultimate winner will be chosen by 50% professional jury votes and 50% public televotes (somewhere between February 25th – March 5th 2023. The exact date is yet to be announced)
Eurovision 2022
In the Eurovision Song Contest of 2022 Moldova was represented by Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers with the song “Trenulețul”, the band ended in 8th position in Semi-final 1, and eventually got the 7th place (of 25) in the 2022 Grand Final.
