After three months of selection, with the formation of the four groups and one month of live shows, Maltese broadcaster TVM will host tonight the grand final of X Factor 2020 from the MFCC of Ta ’Qali.
These are the finalists of ‘X Factor Malta’:
- Justine Shorfid (Ira Losco Team)
- Destiny Chukunyere (Ira Losco Team)
- Kyle Cutajar (Ray Mercieca Team)
- FAITH (Howard Keit Team)
The public will decide who will be the winner of the second edition of ‘X Factor Malta’ through their phone calls and SMS messages. The winner will become the representative of Malta in Eurovision 2020 and will travel to Rotterdam.
The song that will represent Malta in Eurovision will be chosen internally and adapted to the abilities of the winner of the contest.
Michela represented Malta at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. The winning singer of the first edition of ‘X Factor Malta’ went to Tel Aviv with the song ‘Chameleon’, positioning herself as one of the bookmakers’ favorites to win the contest. Michela secured a place in the final, but failed to overcome the fourteenth position, getting a total amount of 107 points. Will Malta improve this result in 2020?
