Loreen to represent Sweden in Eurovision 2023!

Melodifestivalen 2023 has just come to an end after 6 weeks and after an exciting show live from Stockholm’s Friends Arena, Sweden has now selected the act they will send to Liverpool for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest: it will be Loreen with “Tattoo”.

The entire show, the four previous heats and a semi-final held by SVT, were hosted by Jesper Rönndahl and Farah Abadi.

The 12 finalists who competed to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 were:

1. Where You Are (Sávežan) – Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc North feat. Adam Woods
2. Rhythm Of My Show – Tone Sekelius
3. One Day – Mariette
4. Air – Marcus & Martinus
5. On My Way – Panetoz
6. Never Give Up – Maria Sur
7. Six Feet Under – Smash Into Pieces
8. Where Did You Go – Kiana
9. Släpp alla sorger – Nordman
10. Tattoo – Loreen
11. Mer av dig – THEOZ
12. Royals – Paul Rey

A total of twelve acts performed tonight. Eight of them were chosen from four previous heats, whilst the remaining four finalists were chosen from the semi-final last Saturday. The votes collected from the televoting/app voting as well as those awarded by an international jury panel, formed by 8 countries, decided the winner. These were:

  • Belgium
  • Croatia
  • Spain
  • Australia
  • Latvia
  • Malta
  • Germany
  • Austria
