The first show of the Lithuanian national selection for Eurovision has just been broadcast on television. Thirteen candidates competed at the first heat of Eurovizija 2018, which was recorded last Wednesday, but only some of them have gone through.
An equal combination of votes from a professional jury panel, made up of Ramūnas Zilnys, Darius Užkuraitis, Dovilė Filmanavičiūtė and Aistė Pilvelytė, and the audience via SMS has decided that the following acts should advance to the next phase of the competition:
- Aušra Difarte – Someday
- Benas Malakauskas – My Memories
- Dange – Netrika Laime
- Evaldas Vaikasas – Blind
- Germante Kinderyte – Turn It Up
- Godo – Fire Fountain
- Ieva Zasimauskaite – When We’re Old
- Justin3 – Born To Be Wild One
- Lukas Norkunas – Tegu
- Meda Meskauskaite – Blood Roses
- Milda Rasilaviciute – I Think About You
- Monee – Standing Here
- Natalija Chareckaja – Serious
As in previous years, the Lithuanian national selection will be made up of several rounds and pre-recorded shows. The winner will be selected by a mix of a professional jury panel and televoting during a live finale that will be broadcast in March.
The couple in charge of conducting the contest this year is made up by the male humorist Mantas Stonkus and the female TV presenter Ugne Skonsmanaite.
