Yesterday, February 4th 2023, the national final of Latvia took place, also known as “Supernova 2023”. 14 acts took the stage in this national final in the capital of Latvia, Riga.
Supernova 2023
Yesterday the Semi-final of Latvia’s national final took place. During this televised show 14 contestants battled it out, and 10 of them will proceed to the next phase of this national final, the national Grand Final of Latvia. The Grand Final will take place on February 11th 2023. Yesterday’s proceeding acts were chosen by a mix of 50% public televoting and 50% professional jury votes.

Of the 4 acts 1 “might” receive a wildcard to eventually compete in the Grand Final. “If” there is an act that gets a wildcard this will be announced in the upcoming days.

Eurovision 2022
In the Eurovision Song Contest of 2022 Latvia was represented by the band Citi Zēni with the song “Eat Your Salad”. Latvia missed out on the Grand Final of 2022, because they finished 14th in Semi-final 1.
