Junior Eurovision: Twins Chiara & Martina Scarpari selected for Italy!

After three rounds of voting, the Italian representatives for the upcoming Junior Eurovision have been finally chosen: Twins Chiara & Martina Scarpari will represent Italy in Sofia!

15- year old Chiara and Martina Scarpari were born in Varapodio (Reggio Calabria). These Italian twins, who started taking singing lessons when they were 10 years, have taken part in numerous national and international competitions like New Wave Junior 2014 (3rd place), Ti Lascio Una Canzone 2014  (3rd place) or “Incanto Delianuova Festival” (1st place).

10 finalists have competed at today’s special edition of “Ti Lascio Una Canzone”:

  2. Valentina Baldelli (15 years – 6th edition)
  3. Sophia de Rosa & Andrea Ascanio (10 and 12 years – 7th and 5th edition)
  4. Rebecca Toschi (14 years – 7th edition)
  5. Giovanni Sutera Sardo (14 years – 6th edition)
  6. Twins Chiara & Marina Scarpari (15 years – 7th edition)
  7. Gabriele Acqavia (15 years – 6th edition)
  8. Emanuele Bertelli (13 years – 6th edition)
  9. Claudia Ciccateri (13 years – 7th edition)
  10. Beatrice Coltella & Antonio Licari (11 and 15 years – 5th, 6th and 7th edition)

The professional jury was made up of Lorella Cuccarini, Chiara, Fabrizio Frizzi and Massimiliano Pani.

Martina Stoessel, main character of Disney’s TV series “Violetta” and Antonio Conte, Italian football manager, has been guests of the show. The winner of Junior Eurovision 2014, Vincenzo Cantiello, has also performed his song “Tu Primo Grande Amore” during the interval act.

This show was only used to select the Italian performer, as the song will be composed and presented at a later date.
