RTP has revealed that the Portuguese representative for Junior Eurovision 2017 will be selected through a national final which will be held on October 5th. The name of the five candidates has been revealed earlier today on the morning magazine “A Praça”.

- Filipa Ferreira (11 years)
- Mariana Leite (14 years)
- Margarida Lima (12 years)
- Duarte Valença (10 years)
- Mariana Venâncio (10 years)
The winner of “Festival da Canção Júnior 2017” will be decided by a mix of a professional jury panel and televoting. Next week, all candidates will make an appearance to perform on “A Praça” starting on Monday with Filipa Ferreira.
