Today another set of participants will step on stage for the first time inside Tbilisi Olympic Palace. Be sure to check our posts regularly, as the latest videos of rehearsals and impressions will be added during the day.
You can find the countries that will rehearse in the first half of the day below:
- Italy:Â Maria Iside Fiore –Â Scelgo (7:00-7:40 h. CET)
A huge surpise, because it was a very strong performance by Maria, with an interesting camera work and a background that reflects the meaning of the song, with beautiful images of the singer and the main words of the lyrics. Maria looks very nice in a black leather jacket and red trousers – these clothes, with the green background of the first part, give a nice impact on the camera. She has beautiful eyes and she should explore it.

- Malta:Â Gianluca Cilia – Dawra Tond (7:40-8:20 h. CET)
Gianluca is a star and he is so confident on the stage, playing with the cameras, smiling, having fun. As the song, the performance is very enjoyable and it follows this retro style – the singer is wearing beige trousers, white shirt, a vest and a tie, very 50’s! The dancers are also in 50’s clothes and they make the show even more entertaining. Before the last chorus, Gianluca goes to the catwalk with a megaphone, to sing few lines there. Malta has yellow/orange lights and a background full of retro television showing images of the singer. The vocals are very good and also the energy of the whole performance. Great job for the malteses!
- Poland: Alicja Rega – Mój Dom (8:20-9:00 h. CET)
Is this an angel singing? What a beautiful voice, we could listen to it the whole day and we would never get tired of it! Alicja looks very mature on the stage, with a sparkling old pink dress, which makes a nice contrast with the dark background of a ‘forest’. Everything starts dark and gets brighter together with the melody, creating a perfect dynamic for the performance. There is a lot of blue and green lights and, towards the end, we have some bright yellow graphics. Although it’s a low tempo ballad, it wasn’t a boring performance, because you get hypnotized by the sweet voice and the angelical look, like a syren calling.
- Portugal: Mariana Venâcio – Youtuber (9:00-9:40 h. CET)
All I have to say about Portugal is ‘proud’! I’m proud of Mariana and of the portuguese delegation, that could bring a fun and childish performance to the stage. We have so many bright neon colors (purple, pink, yellow) on the background and, as we are talking about internet, we have some emojis, even the poop one – which made the press center laugh. Also in the background, we can see some liquid motion effects, also in bright colors. Mariana can be more confident for the next rehearsal, as she has a great personality.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will be held on November 26 at the Tbilisi Olympic Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia.
