Fourth night of the Sanremo Festival

On the fourth night of the Sanremo Festival the 28 competing acts took the stage, but this time around they covered songs of between the 1960’s and 2010’s. These songs were judged by a demoscopic jury (33%), journalists in the press room (33%), and televoting (34%).

Again, just like during the other three days, it was Marco Mengoni who was the winner of the night. Marco competed for Italy before in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 (Malmö, Sweden) in which he came in 7th (of 26).

More information about the Sanremo Festival 2023

Tonight, February 11th 2023, the Sanremo Festival 2023 concludes, and the winner of the festival will represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Eurovision 2022

In the contest of 2022 Mahmood & Blanco represented Italy in their home country, which was the host country of 2022; they sang the song “Brividi”. The duo ended in 6th position (of 25) in the Grand Final. Italy does not have to compete in the Semi-finals, because they are one of the Big Five countries, and in 2022 they were also the previous winner, since the Italian band Måneskin won the contest of 2022 with the song “Zitti e Buoni”.
