Israel’s 2023 entrant, Noa Kirel, has released her Eurovision 2023 entry “Unicorn”. Noa wanted to release her entry especially on International Women’s Day, because her entry is all about being unique and it is also about (female) empowerment.
Israel’s entry “Unicorn”
KAN, the Israeli broadcaster, has released Israel’s entry, “Unicorn” by Noa Kirel. This song was released during a special show that was broadcast live on KAN 11. Before the song was actually released there was a short-documentary “Noa Kirel: BaDerekh LaEurovizyon” (trans. “Noa Kirel: On the Road to Eurovision”).
The song “Unicorn” was created by Doron Medalie, May Sfadia, Yinon Yahel and Noa Kirel herself.
About Noa Kirel
Noa Kirel is a 21-year old singer from the city of Ra’anana, Israel. In 2015 Noa released her debut single, and later on she released many more. Her first English-language single she released in 2019. In 2017 Noa Kirel won an MTV Europe Music Award for being “The Best Israeli Artist”.
Eurovision 2023
Israel’s Noa Kirel will perform in the second half of the first Semi-final on May 9th 2023.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will compete for the crown. This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be a joint venture, since last year’s winner Ukraine cannot organize the contest on home soil because of the ongoing war with Russia.
