Switzerland: Exclusive interview with Maika (Entscheidungs Show 2016)

A few days ago, SRG SSR announced the 19 acts making through the next stage of 2016 ‘Entscheidungs Show’ in Switzerland. Among the 10 entries which qualified from the online voting process by SRF, where the outcome was determined by 50% users and 50% an expert panel, we can find some interesting names, such as her. It’s no other than Maika Barbero with her rock ballad, ”The Reason”.

Maika Barbero decided to enter the Swiss national final a few weeks ago, as the broadcaster allowed international singers to take part in this selection procedure. Maika is very well-known to Spanish fans because, apart from singing, she has been follower of the contest for many years, since her childhood. Professionally, Maika auditioned for the first series of the popular talent show ”The Voice” in Spain, where she got to reach an honourable 3rd place in the final, despite being a hot favourite for the victory.

On the 6th of December, she will go up on the ”Expert-check” stage to reach one out of the three available spots in the grand final, along with the remaining 9 acts from her respective broadcaster. Two out of six will qualify from RTS’ candidates and only one out of three from RSI.

We are more than sure that she will get to wow the jury with her amazing skills at singing.

Why trying to represent Switzerland instead of her native Spain? This answer and many others are available if you listen to our interview below!
