Hello Nadezhda! First of all, congratulations on having been selected to represent Belarus at Junior Eurovision 2014!

ESC+Plus: In the Belarusian final there was a tie for the first place, how did you feel when you were finally named as Belarusian representative 2014? Did you expect such an awesome ending?

Hello Belen! Thank you very much for your kind words! I am so happy to win our Belarusian Final. It is the greatest surprise and the biggest present ever!

E+: You had already taken part at Belarusian final twice, how did you decide taking part at Belarusian national selection 2014? Why alone and not as part of the Ensemble Zaranak?

Yes, that’s true. For the first time I took part in the selection as a part of Ensemble Zaranak. Now I am a little bit older, I perform songs alone and also write songs. That is why I decided to try one more time!

E+: Belarusian ESC national selections former participant Uzari is one of the composers of “Sokal”, how did he choose you to perform his song?

Uzari helps me a lot with arrangement and lyrics. I wrote the song “Sokal” when I was 12. Then we have just find Uzari and asked for his help.

E+: How did you prepare your national final performance? Does the staging have any special message according to the song’s lyrics?

Our Choreographer’s name is Olga Shamrova. She helps with the performance. Of course it sends a very nice and romantic message. During my performance I’m looking for a young boy who can turn into a bird falcon

E+: What’s your song about? What does a Falcon mean for the song’s lyrics?

Song based on a beautiful slavic fairy-tale “FINIST THE BRIGHT FALCON”, and at the end we decided to record it professionally, just for ourselves. The main hero -a girl Maryushka – is looking for a bird – independent Bright Falcon, who eventually turns into a handsome young man.

E+: Your song includes a background music played with a traditional Belarusian instrument; can you explain us more about it?

In the performance we use Belarus national musical instrument called Gudy. According to the text of a fairy tale girl has worn 3 iron staves, while looking for a falcon.

E+: Is your song to be revamped for Junior Eurovision or you will keep it as the original one? What language will you sing in?

Belarusian is our national language, and in Malta I will be performing Belarus language version of the song, since first of all I represent Belarus as a country. But before the selection I’ve got an advise to translate it, because the song was originally made in Russian.

E+: It is too soon maybe but, have you already decided about how your stage performance will look like? And the costume you will be wearing?

I would not want to jump the gun. I can only say that we are now actively working on our performance. Therefore, the changes are possible.

But for sure I will appear on stage together with girls from the ballet of the National Center of Music named after V.G.Mulyavin. They have supported me in the past year as well. Their names are Alina Shvadronova, Liza Anishchik, Karina Potapovich and Anya Duhovich.

E+: Tell us more about yourself, your favourite music style, favourite school subjects, hobbies, musical career….

In my spare time, I love meeting interesting people and listening to new good and positive music, mostly in the style of “pop”, and artists like Lana Del Rey, Ani Lorak, Polina Gagarina, Pelageya. In addition to music I love to dance and to write poetry.

I am rather good pupil, as her favorite school subjects are Russian literature, English and chemistry.

My dream is to go to London and see the “Big Ben”!

E+: Can you send a message for our readers and Junior Eurovision fans?
